ABOUT:

BioSoc has always strived to invite speakers who are leading members in their field to offer talks which are open to the public and enable our audience to learn about scientific breakthroughs first-hand. Many of our speakers are researchers in one of the biological sciences or across the natural sciences, from the UK and abroad, but we also host representatives from biotechnological and pharmaceutical industries and leaders in science communication. Additionally, we organise social events such as Pub Quiz, Members’ Formal Hall, formals with speakers, and End-of-Year Garden Party to encourage bonding among those who are passionate about the sciences and lay foundations for future collaborations between scientists. Our seminar series fall on Mondays 5:30-7:00pm at the Pfizer LT, Department of Chemistry, all talks are free of charge and open to public. For more information, please visit talks.cam.ac.uk/show/index/203293 (opens in a new tab).

This year, we are collaborating with Oxford and Imperial BioSoc to host our first in-person undergraduate biology conference, Varsity Life Science. Check out the numerous recordings of the Varsity Sci Symposium which was previously held online on our YouTube channel
