Blank Theatre Company

Blank Theatre Company, Cambridge’s first Theatre in Education Company, specialize in inaugurating the plays of William Shakespeare with a new form of ensemble ‘total theatre’, (utilizing physical theatre, naturalism, mask theatre, puppetry, verse, music, dance and voice) – often bringing new and remote forms of international theatre to the stage wherever it advances the clear and entertaining telling of a their story.

In Michaelmas term 2004, HATS and Blank Theatre Company, in association with the ADC Club, join forces to bring to the stage an invigorating and highly original version of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, taking the magic, music and wonder of the play and combining its story with Blank’s original total theatre to create a truly innovative and brilliant piece of theatre. After a run in Cambridge, the Company will embark on their T.I.E.
tour of the North West of England in December 2004.
