About
Fitz Swing is a student big band which was formed in 1990 at Fitzwilliam College, but quickly expanded to take musicians from all corners of the University. We play a variety of music ranging from classic swing tunes from Count Basie to other jazz, funk and latin, so have music appropriate for any occasion. We play at a large number of may balls every year, as well as other events and concerts. We also have recording sessions and regularly go on international tours during the summer.
We rehearse on Monday evenings at Fitz and audition for new members every October. Please feel free to contact us or follow our socials if your interested in joining us!
